In order to
play or coach in any Pacific Northwest AAU game you must be registered
with AAU and have a AAU card.
There are two ways to register in
the AAU.
The information you will need is:
1. Name
2. Birth date (yes, for the coaches too)
3. Address
4. A club number. (You can get on the internet or by mail - $30 per year)
1.
Via Internet
Go to the
membership section of the
AAU website. Click on the button
that says "Join Now" and follow the directions. If you do not have a club yet. Be sure to
get the club first so that you can put your players in it. Remember
all players in teams sports must be in a club. Print your cards when done
and your membership is immediate.
2. Via Mail
Mail you information and money to
Pacific Northwest AAU's
office at:
PO Box 33305
Seattle, WA 98133.
We process the cards once a week. Once the information is in the office
your players are covered.
The cost is the same either way that you register. There are two kinds of
cards, they are regular ($12) or AB ($14) each with the coaches card being
$2 more. The simple explanation is that AB stands for Added Benefit and
under specific conditions the players are covered for non-AAU events (see
the AAU website at
www.aausports.org
for a more complete explanation) It is important that the whole team goes
with the same program.
