Michael Bradley created On The Ball Youth Basketball in 1992 in Tacoma, Washington. Youth basketball was very fragmented throughout the region and there was a need in Tacoma especially, in regards to competitive leagues and traveling teams. The program was created for competitive year round youth basketball in the Tacoma area. Prior to this program parents who were seeking for more competitive leagues and year round programs had to travel to Seattle. In 1995, On The Ball became a sanctioned AAU program and partnered with Northwest Sports, Inc. under the umbrella of Pacific Northwest AAU. Mr. Bradley has been very successful helping young student athletes receive scholarships to many colleges at all levels, colleges such as: University of Southern California, University of San Diego, University of Washington, Washington State University, Seattle Pacific University, Portland State, Gonzaga University, Utah Valley, Tarlatan State, Trinity College, University of Minnesota, University of Oregon, Oregon State University, North Carolina, Evergreen State College, University of Las Vegas, Oregon State, University of Oregon, Drake University, Boise State University, Florida State, UCLA, Pepperdine University, Texas A & M, University of Reno, Western Washington State, Eastern Oregon University, Eastern Washington State, Fresno State, University of California Berkley, Stanford, University of Loyola Marymount, California State Fullerton, California State Long Beach and many of the National Junior College programs throughout the country. Mr. Bradley provides knowledge of the game through his own experience as a player at Eastern Oregon University, where he was selected three years in a row on the Pacific Northwest College All-Northwest Team. In 1980, Mr. Bradley was invited to the Portland Trailblazers and Phoenix Suns NBA Rookie Camp, where he played with the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Summer League in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Bradley coached high school boys’ basketball for eight years. To his credit, he has won a National and State high school championship. Mr. Bradley has coached U.S. National High School Teams from 1992-1994. He was voted “Coach of the year” in 1995 & 1996 in the State of Washington. Michael holds a BS from Eastern Oregon University and a M.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is the Association Chairperson for Pacific Northwest Girls AAU Basketball.
